Always Chase the Waterfall

Recently I visited the only perfect place left on earth-Dominica (don’t argue with me). If you haven’t visited before, you need to take a trip. You will not be disappointed. I am a bit biased because that is my home, but it is genuinely the Caribbean’s best-kept secret. God did not hold back when creating such a beautiful place.

Whenever I go home, I try to spend as much time with family as possible, but I also try to visit places I have never been. After reviewing my pictures, I realized I visited a few waterfalls. Not to sound cliche but the 1994 TLC song came to mind. We all know the lyrics, “Don’t go chasing waterfalls, just stick to the rivers and the lakes that you use to.” To me, those words are saying you should be content with your typical, everyday “normal” life, job, possessions…etc. Trying for widely “unrealistic” things is not advised. Well, today I ask myself, why not chase that waterfall?

Nelson Mandela said, “It always seems impossible until it is done.” My goals might be bigger than myself, and that’s ok. I think it is so important for everyone to realize that our job is not to tell people how unrealistic their goals are, but to encourage each other to do the “impossible.”

I find so often that people project their own inabilities on others. If you think you can’t do it, sit back and watch me achieve the unachievable.

Judging by these pictures, I have no issue “chasing waterfalls,” and I think you shouldn’t either.

Did this post make sense at all? If not I hope you at least enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for reading .

Love,

  1. The pictures are lovely! Take me there!… I never actually aanalyzed the song before and I agree that we should not be content with settling. I’m glad you decided to visit the actual waterfalls. It is a reminder to us of how beautiful it will be when we actually reach/catch/ achieve our “waterfalls” or dreams.

  2. Very motivational. To me, chasing ‘the dream’ is like chasing the waterfall. I think patience, persistence, perseverance and prayer are needed to do so and be successful.

    1. Jerlyz thanks for reading. I like your 4 P’s. You’re very right. Just like how a new waterfall is formed with the water being persistent in pushing thru we need to do the same.😘😘😘 xoxo
